Can HIV virus be transmitted by saliva?

Are kisses, exchange of saliva and oral sex dangerous? HIV virus can be transmitted through semen, vaginal secretions, blood, pre-ejaculatory fluid and breast milk, but not through saliva neither through masturbation. In most cases, the infection occurs during unprotected sexual intercourse. To avoid HIV infection use condom (during genital, oral and anal sex).
