SMOKE AND SEXUALITY

You’ve surely heard of the damage that cigarette smoking causes to our body, especially when you start smoking young, but maybe you don’t know that smoking also damages sexuality.

Although smoking is often associated with relationship and sexual pleasure, few people know that smoking is an enemy of sex.

Smoking is one of the biggest culprits of sexual dysfunction, especially among men under 40 years. We know that there is a certain association between smoking and risk of erection problems.

Not everyone knows that cigarette smoking can cause both male and female fertility disorders. In male it reduces the mobility of spermatozoa and therefore their capacity to fertilize, whereas in women, smoking causes a greater ovarian aging and a lower uterine receptivity. In pregnant women rather smoking increases the risk of miscarriage and reduces the growth of the fetus.

In women smoking facilitates transformative capacity of the Papilloma Virus, which multiply inside woman’s body, and cause HPV infection. If this infection is not treated, over time it can facilitate the development of cervical cancer. Nothing makes also exclude us that this is true also for the man as regards the genital tumors and throat.
