The consequences of gonorrhea are different in male or female genital apparatus, but in both sexes, if untreated, this disease can lead to the inability to have children (sterility and infertility). If untreated, in men gonorrhea can cause epididymitis: infection that can lead to infertility. In women, gonorrhea can have serious consequences on the reproductive system and give rise to pelvic inflammatory disease.
