All sexually transmitted infections may be transmitted by oral sex (fellatio or cunnilingus). There is a direct and continuous contact between the genital mucosa and those of the mouth and it may occur the passage of bacteria that cause syphilis, gonorrhea or viruses such as HPV and genital herpes.
Use a condom during oral sex. In case of cunnilingus, an effective protection can be the DAM or a condom cut horizontally.
