In most cases Chlamydia occurs in an asymptomatic form, or anyway with very mild symptoms. For this reason diagnosis can be difficult. If untreated, Clamydia can led to an inflammation of the cervix woman with chronic effects on reproductive system (infertility). In men chlamydia can cause an inflammation of the genital site, pus, with extension risk to other organs. Chlamydia can also be transmitted from mother to child. The infection of chlamydia in a newborn baby can cause several serious consequences, such as pneumonia, eye and ears diseases.
