Candida is an infection caused by a fungus that normally lives in the body without causing any problems. Prolonged assumption of some drugs, such as antibiotics, use of oral contraceptives, hyperglycemia, anemia, and alcoholism can cause an increase of the presence of this fungus such as to generate the disease. Candida can be transmitted through sexual contact, but can also be caused by lowering of the immune system, stress or excessive consumption of sugars. But what are candida’s symptoms? The symptoms are easily recognizable: itching, burning, redness, pain on urination, and white spots. In men the candida‘s symptoms are: redness, small sores, itching and burning. The disease can also occur in the mouth, with spots and white spots on the tongue.
