Symptoms of chlamydia may appear from one week, to one month after the possible transmission. In women, symptoms are in most cases abnormal vaginal discharge, burning sensation in the genital area, and in some cases, lower abdominal pain. In men, the manifestations of chlamydia occur with burning the genitals, sometimes with swelling and pain in testicles. In both sexes, this disease may occur  in an asymptomatic form.

There are specialized structures of the National Health Service to help and support you in the diagnosis and therapy of this disease. Tests for chlamydia infection are neither invasive nor painful.
