No! Anorexia is definitely not a disorder only female. In fact, in recent years, we are seeing an increase in the number of boys who develop eating disorders. While 20 years ago a man got sick every 10-15 females, currently 1 male gets sick every 4 females.
Anorexia occurs in males in the same manner with which is revealed in women and can lead to the same consequences. But there is an eating disorder similar to anorexia, but present greater in males: the bigorexia, characterized by an obsessive search of muscularization.
